

BUNYOLS D'ABADEJO (COD FRITTERS)
The bunyols d’abadejo (cod fritters) are a very typical dish of the popular and homemade cuisine of the Terres de l’Ebre. Abadejo (a type of cod) is one of the most characteristic products of Tortosa, found on most menus of local bars and restaurants. Additionally, at the Mercat Municipal, it can be found cooked in various ways, ready to take away and enjoy.
INGREDIENTS
- 600 g of potatoes
- 400 g of abadejo (cod)
- 1 egg
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Parsley
- Wheat flour
PREPARATION
- Peel the potato and boil it for 6 minutes.
- Add the desalted abadejo to the pot and let it boil together for 8 more minutes.
- Remove from the heat, drain, and mash the cod and potato. Mix with the egg, minced garlic, and parsley.
- Form the mixture into small balls using two spoons, then coat them in flour.
- Finally, fry the fritters in olive oil until golden brown.
