Description
Departing from the Old Slaughterhouse in Tortosa, currently the Tourism Office, take the Rambla de Felip Pedrell and turn left. Continue in the direction of the the Estat Bridge. Before reaching the bridge, turn left and continue in the direction of Carrer de Montcada and Carrer de la Providència. Then we take Camí del Barranc del Rastre, which quickly goes uphill. At the roundabout, turn left, where we find the Xalet d’Arasa.
A gentle but continuous climb starts here, passing the hermitage of Montserrat, Potra del Pino mountain and Tortosa Tennis Club, before a steeper climb towards the hermitage of Mig Camí. After a few more climbs, we pass by the Cement Factory and we soon arrive at the hermitage of Coll de l’Alba, which offers stunning views of the Ebro valley and delta.
From Coll de l’Alba, we turn right along dirt trails in search of Creu de Collredó.
From Coll de l’Alba, we turn right along dirt trails in search of Creu de Collredó. After taking the trail to the antennae at Collredó, we turn left at the entrance of the Barraques path, enjoy the views from the top and then go back the way we came.
Passing the antennae, we turn left and look for the route which has 24 bends.
When we reach the bottom, we climb a little bit more before going down the route to Pedreres de la Cinta and Barranc de la Llet.
We cross the footbridge and carry on along the cycle path until reaching the municipal park. There we find the river walk and continue until we return to the Slaughterhouse.
