Cova Avellanes Recreation Area

The Cova Avellanes Recreation Area is located in the heart of Els Ports near the top of Mount Caro.

It is a wooded area shaded by black and red pines. The area offers stone benches and tables and an untreated water spring.

How to get there: To get to Cove Avellanes from Roquetes, take the T-342 to Els Reguers. Between 3 km and 4 km there is a deviation of route to the left towards the top of Caro. After a 14.9 km curved road, turn right to Fredes- Cova Avellanes. Once you got past a square with a Restaurant & Bar. After 1 km there is a crossing, turn left to Cova Avellanes. Right at the entrance of the road there is a small esplanade where you can park. If the height of the car is too much, go on for 3 km until you get to the recreation area.
